Lansinoh NaturalWave™ teats have a wide neck and a gradual slope to ensure a proper latch and prevent colic.

Lansinoh NaturalWave™ teats have a wide neck and a gradual slope to ensure a proper latch and prevent colic. They are renowned as the pacifiers that babies love, i.e. the pacifiers that babies accept the most.
Lansinoh teats are clinically proven to reduce nipple confusion, protect breastfeeding habits, and maintain the same wave-like tongue movements that babies use when breastfeeding. So if you are breastfeeding, you can safely switch from breast to bottle and back again.
The peristaltic motion that gives the Lansinoh teat its name Natural Wave is a smooth, wave-like motion of the baby's tongue that squeezes the mother's nipple to extract milk. The wide-necked NaturalWave teat encourages sucking, similar to a baby's natural sucking at the nipple, and imitates the same undulating movement of the tongue, so the baby has no problem constantly changing the feeding method from breast to bottle and back again. Super soft and flexible for optimal compression, this 100% silicone teat allows baby to use their natural sucking rhythm.
As recommended by health professionals, the NaturalWave teat has a gradual slope for more perfect sucking, while the structure of the teat itself is reinforced with innovative internal vertical ribs, so it is resistant to shrinkage so that the baby can comfortably enjoy the comfortable milk. For peace of mind, use with the Air Ventilation System (AVS™), which reduces the amount of air entrained with the milk - reducing the chance of colic and regurgitation. To meet the changing needs of the baby, NaturalWave teats are produced in different capacities: fast, medium and slow.
How often should I replace my NaturalWave® teat?
We recommend that you check your nipple daily for wear and tear and replace it approximately every 7 weeks. If you notice that the silicone is torn or otherwise damaged, throw it away. We also recommend that you do not leave your nipple in direct sunlight, heat or disinfectant for longer than the instructions state, as this can weaken it.
Are there other flow rates available?
Lansinoh NaturalWave nipples come in very slow, slow, medium and fast flow rates, depending on your baby’s needs. Babies’ flow preferences are often linked to how they breastfeed. We know that every baby and their preferences are different, which is why we offer four options because one flow type doesn’t work for all babies.
What is the Air Vent System® (AVS)?
The Air Vent System® reduces air intake, which reduces the risk of gas.
Can it be used from birth?
Yes – Lansinoh teats and bottles can be used from birth, and the Lansinoh Extra Slow Flow (XS) teat is ideal for newborns and preemies.
Is there an appropriate age to use extra slow, slow, medium and fast flow teats?
Babies’ choice of flow with bottle teats depends more on how they breastfeed than on their age. It is recommended to start breastfeeding with an extra slow or slow flow teat. If you notice that your baby is taking longer to finish a feed than when breastfeeding, is frustrated with feeding and is frequently pulling the pacifier, these are signs that you may need to switch to a medium-flow pacifier.
Recommended for children from birth. However, it is advisable to consider the needs of each child. If you see that the child feeds for a long time, but it is difficult to get milk, change to a teat with a higher throughput.
Use: Simply insert the pacifier into the collar that you screw onto the bottle. To ensure product hygiene, sterilize the pacifier before use.
Maintenance:
The teat can be sterilized in boiling water, but be careful not to let it touch the sides or bottom of the pot, as this may melt it.
Can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher, but hand washing is recommended.
